Jasmine
is the founder of the whirlyGirlz. Her love of flow began
in 2004, and she was so inspired to share it, she
immediate began building a hoop community in Portland.
Nothing comes close to the effortless grace of Jasmine's
style in the hoop... she can do it all! Not to mention a
smile that exudes radiance unmatched. She's a
whirlyWonder to watch.
In her off hours, she can be found practicing Nia or
acting as the whirlyBooking Agent. Jasmine is also the
co-owner of
dragonlily boutique,
offering independent clothing designs as well as
beautiful, custom-made hoops for purchase. Her unique and
well-known clothing designs - known as
dervish
- inform the whirlyGirlz brilliant costuming.
Candice Schutter
Performer & Trainer
Candice
is ignited and driven by her passion for movement as
transformation. Her performance style is a fusion of high
energy joy bombs, rhythmic footwork, and spritely fun.
She loves to play with the audience and evoke magic in
the hearts of those who stand whirlyWitness to her hoop
love.
ln early 2006, she begin teaching hoop in Portland when
the demand for classes exceeded Jasmine's expectations!
She is now a Certified HoopGirl™ Instructor, and the
owner of
HoopShine
- offering a regular hoop class schedule as well as an
online hoop catalog.
Candice
is also a Nia Black Belt, a Life Coach, and offers
workshops and inspirational events in Portland and
surrounding areas. Her passion is translating the wisdom
that movement brings to life in her, through teaching and
performance.
Cara Phillipo

Cara
brings the essential spaciousness of soft power to the
whirlyMix. Her style might be described as that of a
reverent and hypnotic water goddess. A pure delight to
watch. Her childhood was spent training as a gymnast and
she loves the freedom that flow has helped her to
rediscover.
In the many hours spent apart from the performance world,
she spends time bringing healing to others. A
naturopathic doctor, herbalist, acupuncturist, and the
co-founder of
TheraHoops,
Cara knows firsthand how the healing power of the hoop
reaches far and wide.
Holly Hamilton
Performer
Holly
brings her sleek style and grace to the hoop, as well as
a love for creating community and connection. To witness
Holly's hoopiness is a pure and seamless experience of
gorgeous lines and creative transitions... and she makes
it all look so easy! Not to mention, the spark in her eye
that makes each and every person feel a part of the
whirlyMagic.
When she's not adding her deliciousness to the whirlyMix,
she offers her energy as a Physical Therapist. It has
been said that as a massage therapist, Holly has the
hands of an angel! She can also be found volunteering her
time at area festivals and community gatherings. This
whirlyGirl knows the meaning of co-creation, that's for
sure.
Keri Roberts
Performer
Keri possesses a quiet - yet potent - power when she steps inside the hoop. As a whirlyGirlz, she is movement beacon for breath and supple beauty. Her practice of yoga and meditation infuses her movement with ease, and a subtle smile lends a degree of mystery to her movement. Keri is a testament to the wisdom of hoop enchantment. Outside of the hoop, she studies yoga and allows her creativity to run wild as an independent clothing designer and the co-owner of dragonlily boutique. Her hip body wear for women is known as Ipseity, and is always sure to turn heads. Now you know why whirlyWear is so celebrated!
